Book-cloth Restoration

Text Box: Restore your favorite childhood book for your children or grandchildren.

This is an example of preserving the original spine and replacing it over a new book-cloth spine that is blended into the covers.  I also brightened the faded spine to match the cover by carefully applying an acrylic wash in between the gold stamping. The front cover is the original color and I only brought  up the sun-faded color of the spine.
